Objects designed for use

The objects that accompany us daily deserve to be appreciated as more than just accessories; they are full of stories, emotions, and details. They are accomplices and tools.

With this in mind, Lo Esencial emerged in 2015, based on designer Adolfo Navarro's premise of designing better objects—simple yet iconic, crafted from durable materials, for everyday use. The project was born with the initial goal of designing a collection of small objects made from a single piece of genuine leather, without seams, that would provide the greatest possible utility with the least use of materials. Today, the Lo Esencial collection has expanded to more than 50 different objects, each designed in-house, and with the same premise of utilitarian minimalism.

Beyond being another redundant reference for exclusive and incoherent fashion, Lo Esencial is a proposal with clean, recognizable, high-quality objects, whose functionality, utility, and simplicity are reflected in every detail. The goal is for you to interact better with the objects that accompany you daily, to use them, enjoy them, and find them useful for as long as possible.

We want to change stereotypes and consumption patterns, so that talking about design is not just referring to the typical object acquired to sit motionless in a room, but objects that achieve better interactions, pieces designed to be carried daily in pockets, simple objects that are frequently used in a better way.

Every last detail has been designed.

Each item has been distinctively designed, because without new ways, the material means nothing.

What does this mean?

It means we improve the way you use it by integrally planning each piece. Thanks to this, you will notice that the way you use your wallet, carry your phone, keys, (and more) will be natural and comfortable. We consider every aspect to improve the experience, including your frequent interaction with the object. For this reason, you will notice that the more you use your wallet, bag, or card holder, the better condition it will be in than ever before. Furthermore, these are unique, designed, and patented objects.

Why do we use genuine leather?

It's simple, we want your items to be better after hundreds of days of use than they were on the first day, and genuine leather is one of the few existing materials that truly improves with use. Every day you interact with the object, the material changes, improves, and adapts to you; that is important to us. Additionally, creating well-designed objects from more durable materials promotes less obsolescence. Don't worry, our materials come from sustainable sources and are a secondary byproduct of the food industry.
